VAALCO proceeding with Venus oil project offshore Equatorial Guinea

HOUSTON — VAALCO Energy has secured approval from Equatorial Guinea''s government for its development plan for the Venus Field in offshore Block P. Following execution of final documents, the company will start work on the project, which is targeting 23.1 MMbbl of resources and first oil in 2026.

Equatorial Guinea approves offshore Venus oil project

ABUJA, Nigeria — Atlas Petroleum International has committed to the development of the Venus discovery in Block P offshore Equatorial Guinea. This follows swift government approval for the plan of development, which was submitted earlier this month. Vaalco Energy is the block operator, and state-owned GEPetrol is the other partner.
