Is Saint Vincent and the Grenadines dependent on fossil fuels?

ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES ON A PATH OF RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT Caribbean small island states such as Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) is almost entirely dependent on fossil fuel for electricity production. This dependency has created major concerns for the sustainability of our economies and environment .

How does a St Vincent & the Grenadines LLC work?

Managers and members are assigned interest in the LLC under the governance of an Operating Agreement, with neither directors nor shareholders necessary. The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Limited Liability Companies Act 2008 allows the formation of both a Single LLC and a Series LLC.

What is the demand for potable water in St Vincent and the Grenadines?

Demand for potable water in the islands is just above 1 percent of the available water supply. Deterioration of water quality in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a pressing matter. The wooded, volcanic mountains in St. Vincent is divided into 16 watersheds and accompanied by numerous small streams.

How many generating plants does vinlec have?

VINLEC is given sole rights to generate and sell electric in SVG. It has nine generating plants with a capacity of 53.3MW. Three of these are hyro, with a capacity of 5.7MW(11.5%). Or 20% of peak demand. Small hybrid electric systems (solar and wind). • Efforts are being made to expand this generating capacity base on studies carried out by GTZ.
