Introduction
This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the rapidly evolving field of solar-driven carbon dioxide (CO 2) conversion, focusing on recent developments and future prospects. Solar driven CO 2 reduction for the production of fuels and chemicals is a promising technology for achieving carbon neutrality. Photocatalytic CO 2 reduction, photoelectrochemical CO 2 reduction and photovoltaic-electrochemical CO 2 reduction, are three main approaches for solar driven CO 2. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the rapidly evolving field of solar-driven carbon dioxide (CO 2) conversion, focusing on recent developments and future prospects. While significant progress has been made in understanding the fundamental mechanisms of photocatalytic (PC). Researchers combine solar energy, electrochemistry, and thermal catalysis to remove the need for fossil fuel-driven chemical conversions. Conversion of CO2 to butene via a solar-driven tandem process. First, CO2 is converted to ethylene using an electrochemical reactor and solar-derived.
