Like lithium batteries, there are strict regulations to follow when shipping wet batteries internationally. An IATA Dangerous Goods label must be attached, along with the correct UN number and shipping name for the particular type of batteries.
How are batteries shipped?
The batteries with an exception to lithium shall be shipped in containers of DOT approved 55 gallon size, made of a material compatible with the batteries contained therein. Such containers are to be banded together, four drums to a pallet.
