Introduction
The square battery module is generally composed of battery core, end plate, side plate, bottom plate, aluminum sheet (usually called Busbar), wiring harness isolation plate, upper cover, end plate insulation cover and other main components. Figure 9-11 is a more typical square battery cell module. The battery is a crucial component within the BESS; it stores the energy ready to be dispatched when needed. A battery contains lithium cells arranged in series and parallel to form modules, which stack into racks. Racks can connect in series or parallel to meet the BESS voltage and current. Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a containerized solution that is designed to store and manage energy generated from renewable sources such as solar and wind power. BESS containers are a cost-effective and modular way to store energy,and can be easily transported and deployed in various. rage applications in commercial and industrial environments. The containerized configuration is a single container with a power conversion system, switchgear, racks of batteries, HV C units and all associated fire and safety equipment inside. It can be deployed quickly to expand existing power. A battery energy storage system stores renewable energy, like solar power, in rechargeable batteries. This stored energy can be used later to provide electricity when needed, like during power outages or periods of high demand. Its reliability and energy efficiency make the BESS design important. Solar power containers combine solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery storage, inverters, and auxiliary components into a self-contained shipping container. By integrating all necessary equipment within a transportable structure, these units provide modular, plug-and-play renewable energy systems.
