Introduction
This paper provides three examples of how electrochemistry can lead to solutions for sustainable solar photovoltaics: storage of intermittent solar electricity in a zinc↔zinc oxide (Zn↔ZnO) loop, energy-efficient electrorefining of metallurgical-grade silicon to produce. Newly developed photoelectrochemical energy storage (PES) devices can effectively convert and store solar energy in one two-electrode battery, simplifying the configuration and decreasing the external energy loss. Based on PES materials, the PES devices could realize direct solar-to-electrochemical. My country's battery energy storage, especially lithium battery energy storage industry, is developing rapidly, and battery energy storage is the main form of electrochemical .Electrochemical energy storage technologies have a profound influence on daily life, and their development heavily. Integrating photovoltaic (PV) and electrochemical (EC) systems has emerged as a promising renewable energy utility by combining solar energy harvesting with efficient storage and conversion technologies.
