Introduction
The study presents a comprehensive review on the utilization of hydrogen as an energy carrier, examining its properties, storage methods, associated challenges, and potential future implications. Hydrogen is a clean energy source that produces no carbon emissions, making it essential in the technological era for meeting energy needs while reducing environmental pollution. Abundant in nature as water and hydrocarbons, hydrogen must be converted into a usable form for practical applications. A research team led by Chalmers University of Technology , Sweden, have presented a new way to produce hydrogen gas without the scarce and expensive metal platinum, using sunlight, water and tiny particles of electrically conductive plastic. The method enables hydrogen to be produced efficiently. Solar fuels are fuels made from common substances like water and carbon dioxide using the energy of sunlight. There is vast energy in sunlight striking the earth, but it is dispersed and varies over time, making it challenging to harness sunlight for practical use. We have successfully tapped solar. Solar power containers combine solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery storage, inverters, and auxiliary components into a self-contained shipping container. By integrating all necessary equipment within a transportable structure, these units provide modular, plug-and-play renewable energy systems. The study presents a comprehensive review on the utilization of hydrogen as an energy carrier, examining its properties, storage methods, associated challenges, and potential future implications. Hydrogen, due to its high energy content and clean combustion, has emerged as a promising alternative. If the energy used comes from a finite resource, the resulting hydrogen is considered non-renewable, but if it comes from sources that can be naturally replenished, the hydrogen is classified as renewable. The majority of hydrogen produced globally today relies on non-renewable fossil fuels.
